Duku EV exhibit at ExCeL London, launching their very own ground-breaking EV charger.
The Duku EV team were greeted with an overwhelmingly positive reaction to their innovative EV charger after exhibiting at the London EV Show. Attendees from across the globe were impressed by the charger's entirely unique motorised cable management system which meant they did not have to pull or carry heavy cables.
EXHIBITORS
Across the three days in which the event took place, the team met several thousand attendees from across the electric vehicle and electric vehicle charging industries; including installers, manufacturers, suppliers and EV enthusiasts. Additionally, Duku were able to discuss the design with fellow exhibitors, including Jaguar Land Rover, Designability and Transport For London.
FAMOUS FACES
The Duku team were fortunate to meet several famous faces throughout their time at the ExCeL, including presenter of The Gadget Show, Jon Bentley and ex Top Gear presenter, Quentin Willson, who now spearheads the national FairCharge campaign, aimed at increasing electric vehicle ownership and improving EV infrastructure. Duku's team also met a famous Tanzanian Radio presenter who decided to film a video about the charger for his YouTube channel! All three were very impressed with the charger, particularly its research-led design aimed at making charging more accessible.
NEXT STEPS
Following the emphatic response Duku received after exhibiting at the show, next on the agenda is taking the home variant of the charger into production. Duku continues to take pre-orders of the charger and aims to commence manufacturing within the next few months so that it is ready for release in summer 2023. Additionally, the team is creating the final prototype of the public variant of the charger which includes an 8" touchscreen and an RFID payment module.
